“Some Get Tough, Some Go Insane, Some Will Die…”
REFORM SCHOOL GIRLS is a classic 80’s “chicks in prison” story with the Amazon Queen Sybil Danning as the mean Warden and the late Punk Rock Icon Wendy O. Williams as one of the most convincing female “inmate” archetypes I’ve ever seen! I also have to applaud the presence of 80’s/90’s erotic-thriller actress Darcy DeMoss as “Knox” because that woman has a rockin’ body on her that’ll make you pay full friggin’ attention to the film and it’s glorious gratuitous nudity!
I remember the movie poster for this film with Sybil Danning and Wendy O. Williams standing back-to-back and it matched the film’s femme-intensity, that’s for damn sure! From “let’s play carnival” to the over-acting and some disturbing moments, REFORM SCHOOL GIRLS is a smorgasbord of both cheesy fun and violence the viewer will be entertained by because really….this genre of film has a small but loyal following and so it’s fans surely consider this film to be right up there with CHAINED HEAT and the “ILSA” series!
Sybil Danning once again gives a stellar friggin’ performance as the tough but sexy chick she always is, her frightening scowl a legend in itself as well as her timeless physique. I give this one a thumbs-up (while playing strip-poker with Darcy DeMoss!)
