After the death of her brother, Officer Angel Wolfe vows revenge and seeks out a mysterious Dr. Sin-Do who is supposedly in-league with the Devil and happens to be hosting a martial-arts tournament on his fortress island-hideaway. Angel enlists the help of a couple of friends such as the voluptuous “White Star” (busty Raven De La Croix) to assist her in her plan against the devil-worshipping Dr. Sin-Do (fiendishly portrayed by Angus Scrimm of PHANTASM fame). Writer/Director Jim Wynorski helped write the book on gratuitous-nudity in the 80’s guy0flick genre, but this one was a bit more “conservative” compared to his latter releases, though it was still entertaining nonetheless.
Just seeing Raven De La Croix’s big tits with a python slithering around them in one scene was enough to keep my attention! *Extra points for erotic imagery* Angus Scrimm has always been best at portraying evil otherworldly villains (i.e. the “Tall Man” in the PHANTASM series) and he knocks this one out with just as much fiendish rancor as in films prior. Melanie and Raven are the sexpots from start to finish and their outfits make them look delicious, though these were two actresses who looked better with their clothes off and despite the acting considerable for the type of film, Wynorski’s THE LOST EMPIRE is a cult flick worth catching if you can find a copy these days!
I give it two thumbs-up with a knock on Raven De La Croix’s dressing room door.
