“I’ve seen some bigger…but you are a sturdy one!”
Loosely based on the classic erotic novel “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” by D.H. Lawrence, this sequel to the first film of the name starring Harlee McBride is better in its cast, humor, and overall scenery. A very well-directed “erotic comedy” YOUNG LADY CHATTERLEY 2 is enticing from the get-go as the young sexy owner of Chatterley Estate in England Lady Chatterley (played by actress Harlee McBride) is faced with not only the skirt-chasing gardener Thomas (Brett Clark) and her chambermaid’s sexual proclivities, but the very real threat of a local developer trying to steal her Estate out from under her!
With a loyal and over-sexed staff, Lady Chatterley indulges her own with her gardener Thomas but keeps getting interrupted, like the funny scene where the maid named Jenny (blonde kitten Alexandra Day) waits till Lady Chatterley exits the cabin and just in time for the gardener Thomas to say “I got a tool that’s right to be used and no where to use it” and then the next scene has her riding up and down on him on a bed. Lady Chatterley soon has some interesting visitors such as a Professor (played by 60’s TV Icon Adam West) who is looking for a historic predecessor of Lady Godiva on her property, and who bumbles through his search even stumbling across Thomas giving it to another Chatterley maid (played by Monique “the body that never quits” Gabrielle) in the grass near an old well which the professor falls in to while Thomas and the maid go-at-it.
Then an old flame of Lady Chatterley arrives (and he’s a now a Priest!) along with his mean, bible-thumping sister Judith (played convincingly by Sybil Danning) and her shy, virginal son Virgil. Having her hands full with the back-stabbing real estate developers, the bumbling professor, her own desire for her gardener unsatisfied, and now her old lover a celibate Priest….it was a wonder Lady Chatterley didn’t go crazy! The role of the Priest’s sister Judith was done convincingly well by actress Sybil Danning (whom I call the “Amazon Queen”) and she goes from terrorizing everyone with fire-and-brimstone to being seduced by Thomas the gardener and changing her way of thinking just in time for Lady Chatterley to seduce her adult son Virgil (who later goes on to having group-sex with the maids (Monique Gabrielle on the up-and-down once more!) and seduce her old flame who renounces his Priesthood to take Lady Chatterley up on her lovemaking offer in the garden.
Needless to say, the estate isn’t lost, everyone’s happy in the carnal zone, and Thomas the gardener is taken home to America by the formerly-prudish Judith! Great one-liners throughout as well as funny innuendo make YOUNG LADY CHATTERLEY 2 more than just an R-rated sex romp, and thanks to the delicious casting of Sybil Danning, Monique Gabrielle and Harlee McBride, this film ranks up there as one of the best “guy-flicks” of the 1980’s (and one ladies may enjoy as well). It is also a fine example of “classy” adult entertainment filmed in the years before the Internet came along. Now available on imported DVD and still out there on VHS as well as late night Cable TV, YOUNG LADY CHATTERLEY 2 is an 80’s treat best watched late at night! I give it two-thumbs-way-up (sipping tea in bed with Lady Chatterley).
